| Eleven years ago, in the same week, Risa Tuvic's husband Sean Collins, an alcoholic, disappeared and Risa's best friend Carol was found murdered. Now Sean has returned to their small Pennsylvania town, sober, and full of remorse, saying that he has recovered memories from his blacked-out days and knows he killed Carol.
